Dessous Loungewear Goes to India
Dessous's move to India should reduce our carbon footprint significantly. This may seem counterintuitive, but production in the U.S. involves shipping fabric from the manufacturer (the majority of sustainable fabrics are made in Asia) to the fabric wholesalers--the company we've been using is in Canada--to our factory in Los Angeles. From there, the finished garments are shipped to Atlanta where we pack and ship the orders to you. All this shipping is expensive and a heavy burden on the planet.

My Over-50 Career Change
I was pregnant with our first daughter when my husband’s career took off and mine fizzled. (So much for that internet company.) At the same time, my husband’s job moved us to San Francisco. Because his salary exceeded mine significantly by then, and the cost of daycare would have just canceled mine out, I decided to stay home with the baby for a few years.

Why Caftans?
